Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Owlerts (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and organization members.

2. Description of Service

Owlerts is a SaaS analytics platform that connects to your Stripe account to provide real-time revenue analytics, including MRR/ARR tracking, churn analysis, cohort retention, and configurable alerts across multiple notification channels. The Service processes Stripe webhook events and API data to generate insights.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable laws

4. Stripe Account Connection

By connecting your Stripe account to Owlerts, you authorize us to access your Stripe data via the Stripe Connect OAuth flow and webhook events. You represent that you have the authority to grant this access and that doing so does not violate any agreement with Stripe or any third party. You may disconnect your Stripe account at any time through the dashboard settings.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

The Service offers multiple subscription tiers (Free, Pro, Enterprise) with varying feature sets and usage limits. Paid plans are billed monthly. You agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen plan. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit harmful or malicious code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

7. Data Ownership

You retain all rights to your data. We do not claim ownership of any data you provide or that is collected from your connected Stripe account. We process your data solely to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or delete your data at any time.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Owlerts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may terminate by deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
